Silver has been used widely for its anti-microbial properties and is even used in medical dressings on the NHS to reduce the risk of infections to skin wounds.

Silver put on the skin in can help destroy bad skin bacteria that leads to inflammation and infection, while leaving good skin bacteria in tact.

The problem with most anti-bacterial skin treatments is that they kill ALL skin bacteria, both bad and good. But skin needs good skin bacteria to stay healthy and balanced.

The main reason why eczema, psoriasis, acne and rosacea flare ups sometimes intensify is due to secondary infection from bad skin bacteria, namely straphylocuccus aureas, that gets into open, weak or broken skin and makes symptoms worse.

In a study, a patented silver serum containing an ingredient called MicroSilver ™, was found to be  effective at reducing the severity of eczema flare ups in almost 70% of patients with eczema after a two-week trial period.

In a longer trial involving patients with psoriasis, 93% were able to come off topical steroids use after applying MicroSilver to their infected skin.

Silver can help reduce flare ups of skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, acne and rosacea.

It's also useful as a daily skin treatment for normal skin to control bad bacteria on the skin’s surface which can help reduce the risk of infection and inflammation of acne, blackheads, sores, cracks and chaffing.
