How to Treat Dry Skin

There are a variety of ways to treat dry skin, including:
- Moisturising after showering and swimming. Water can irritate sensitive and eczema prone skin and the chlorine in pools can dry the skin out. Using a perfume-free moisturiser that contains glycerin should be applied after drying the skin.
- Coconut oil contains fatty acids that keep your skin hydrated and moisturised. Coconut oil can be used anywhere on the skin, and if you feel your skin needs a more intense method of hydration.
- Wearing gloves while cleaning. Harsh chemicals in cleaning products can irritate your skin and dry it out, wearing a pair of gloves while using chemicals can create a barrier.
