What is Acne?
Acne is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition that is caused when tiny holes in the skin, known as hair follicles become blocked with oil and dead skin cells. It often causes what we know as spots on the face, chest, upper back and shoulders.
For many of us, fighting the battle against acne is a daily struggle. We know that acne is extremely prevalent in young people, however, almost 95 percent of people aged 11-30 are affected by acne to an extent, according to the NHS.
