Hi Bobby. The usual problem is that anti-dandruff shampoos often contain an ingredient to attack a fungus which is thought to cause the majority of dandruff problems. However, many people's dandruff is caused by a very dry scalp or a reaction to chemicals. It sounds like yours is a reaction to chemicals ie the chlorine and dryness. The problem with many standard antidandruff shampoos anti fungal ingredients is that they can actually cause more dryness. So if your problem is a problem caused by dryness and not fungus then it will make it worse. I would recommend our Dry Scalp Shampoo and conditioner which are all about moisturisation. This is the link.

Hi, I work onboard ships and have been experiencing constant scalp issues with reference to Dryness, Irritation leading to heavy dandruff and resultant hairloss. The root cause of this symptons is directed at the heavy use of chlorine in the shipwater treatment facility to treat the content of salt and also add the centralised airconditioning makes matters only worse. I have tried anti-dandruff shampoos but I feel they only compound the illness. Could you advise remedy and shampoo that can moisturise the scalp and help it fight the dryness and dandruff caused by the chlorine content in the water.
